Do-it-Yourself Video
On how to Rebuild your MTX tranny
and install a Quaife differential

Mark Nunnally has finished up his Quaife installation and MTX-IV rebuild video. This video was shot soon after he and Josh T. (SHO NUT) did the clutch video.

Josh hosts this video, and walks you through taking apart the 5-speed MTX-IV, installing a Quaife, setting the pre-load for the Quaife (or any replacement diff) and reassembly, including rebuilding the wear items (seals, synchro's and blocking rings, etc).

It's pretty informative, and pretty interesting if you like tech-type stuff. If you can do your own clutch, you can rebuild one of these boxes.  Even at 100k on a tranny that's been taken care of, it's amazing the difference in shifting you get from a fresh set of synchronizer rings.  It is worth opening up and rebuilding a box that's got 100k+ on it while you have it out for a clutch job.

Buy this excellent video from Josh at SHO NUT Performance. Price is $30 which includes shipping.
