SHO Nut Performance hits new High in power!

The following is related to us by Josh at SHO Nut Performance.  If you want something to shut up those GTP and ricer types, then just tell them about this:

Went to the dyno today. After tightening my belt, I hit 465 HP at 7500-8000 RPM and 350 lb ft of torque at 6600 RPM at the wheels. Gone are the days of sub-300 torque figures ;-)

And, get this ... at 9-11:1 A/F for the most part ... so lots of room for improvement, and 'only' 15 psi. ;-)

That's 567 HP/427 lb ft at the crank, boys and girls. Not bad for a 3.0L with stock block, pistons and heads. This is essentially the ultimate ‘bolt-on’ car.

However, A/F was a straight line up from 10:1 at 7K to 12.5:1 at 8K, regardless of what chip was used, indicating that I was running out of 48 lb injector or 80 mm MAF at that point.

Well, at least I know that 350+ lb ft at the wheels is possible with a stock 3.0L block, stock cast pistons, 17 psi pulley, 105 octane race gas, and ice in the I/C. I'm sure that taking out fuel and adding timing will given even more. 1200 EGT's at 10:1, and rising to 1450-1500 at 12.5:1 at 8K.

Air intake temp (probe in airstream) was 100F at full hoot, and 45F at idle with 65 ambient.
