for $40 total, shipping included to the lower 48 states, contact for other areas/countries.  E-mail him for details and to order.

A three year-project that came about because there are NO models of the SHO other than the Gen I models no longer available.  I decided that the V6 engine was the main feature and commissioned a 1/6 scale model of the SHO V6 cutaway engine that was featured on many magazine covers in 1988 and 1989.  Because the intake manifold is partly cut away, I also had a complete manifold as part of the display.  Those at the 2005 Convention in Indiana got to see this model that features exacting detail right down to the cutaway oil filter!  Only one other cutaway engine model was ever produced that I know of, and that was by Franklin Mint of a Chevy V8.  It had moving parts but they are going for $400+ on E-bay IF you can find them, and there were thousands produced.

There have been only Three Hundred (300) of the SHO V6 Cutaway display produced, I have less than 25 left as of December 2007.  These are all serial numbered with the lowest numbers going to the early orders.  Your number will be the next one in line.

Pricing is just $103.95 including shipping.  Included is a certificate with some history signed by Bill Staib (founder of the SHO Registry) and, Don Mallinson, Pres. of the SHO Club.

Why did I do this?  Because I wanted one, and it wasn't practical to make just one, so I did 300.  In collector circles this is VERY low production for models.  This is a cast resin model with serious weight, but no moving parts.  The detail is amazing, click on the pictures to see.  Order now, these may not last long, and when the 300 are gone, there will be no more!  Here is the link to the order form you can print out and mail in or FAX:

Kenny Brown Doing Better!
After a several year battle, KB is on the road to recovery.
SHO folks may remember our visit to Kenny Brown Performance at the 2005 Convention, and the talk that Kenny gave at our banquet.  We only had a slight clue that something was going on, but now Kenny has put it down, in VERY entertaining (if not just a little scary) fashion.
CLICK HERE to go to the KBP site, click on the "feature story" link on the upper right.
If you get the chance, use this LINK to send well wishes to Kenny and Cari.

The Last Taurus (for a while) rolls off the line in Atlanta

Built since 1985 and going out still a sales success despite years of neglect by Ford, the Taurus will go down in history as the car that saved Ford a couple of times.  The SHO version, our passion here at SHO Club won many "Best OF" awards over the years.   Check out an LA Times article HERE.  Also check out this ABC news story about the Taurus that features our friend Jason Kennedy from the Taurus Car Clubon You Tube.

The SHO Club in particular agrees with Jack Telnac that the killing of the Taurus is bad business.  Almost a crime in the auto industry.  Toyota hasn't killed of the Camry or Honda the Accord just because the name is old, they keep updating the cars and selling more and more.  If only Ford Motor Company had been as wise.

SHO Club Parts Finder:
Recently I had a hard time finding an A/C line for my '91 SHO.  SHO Nut Performance found one for me, but also, Courtney's in MN found a good source: thought I would pass it along:  Green Sales, phone 800-543-4959.  Some of these lines have been discontinued, so if you are procrastinating on fixing your A/C, get the parts now!

SHO V8 Continuing warning on cam failures
Still think you can put off getting those cams welded or don't believe the problem exists?  Read this from the V8SHO mailing list and then make an appointment to get your cams welded ASAP:
I do believe I have come close to disaster but narrowly avoided complete ruin with my cams. They are definitely knocking loud and clear. I was on my way home from the store and was at the light when I heard the knocking and that was the first thing I remember thinking was oh crap. Luckily I live only a few hundred feet from that light so I made it home with no really bad noise like the motor freezing up. Anyway, I need to know when the next camfest is going to be held or haul the car (to an expert somewhere). Thanks and phew....

DO you care about the quality of driver on the road beside you?
Do you have a Teen driver in your family?

Then you should let Dutch Mandel, Editor of AutoWeek magazine know you support his movement to improve driver eduction in the United States. A movement to get a uniform set of laws for driver training, instruction and licensing that is a VERY good idea. Here is his e-mail address: dmandel@crain.com Let him know you support this idea and if possible volunteer to help in the effort. SHO Club supports better driver education and licensing.
